Hello and thank you for visiting. My website has been put together to show you the diverse subjects and work I undertake as a photographer. In the portfolios section you can see pictures that have been taken since setting up my photography business in 2006 and from when I began as a trainee back in 1991! I have now built up over 20 years experience in this industry and offer a high quality, prompt and professional service.
My interest in photography started when I was in my teens and grew after taking pictures in and around my home town of Evesham. My first job in photography was working in a darkroom as a technician and printer. I learnt the art of black and white printing and developing films. I wanted to be behind the camera full time so I took myself off to college to study the NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) course in photo-journalism which was based in Sheffield.
I learnt invaluable lessons in the skills of working with people, to deadlines and working with a camera under pressure. I went on to a career in newspapers dealing with changes in technology, from black and white printing to colour, from film cameras and scanning negatives, then onto digital. I work totally in this medium now using the latest Canon camera equipment. I’ve enjoyed the challenges this has brought me, with the biggest coming when I decided to leave employment and start my own business. I wanted to explore the different paths in which photography could take me. I now deal with a range of clients all over the Midlands and beyond. This involves working with a variety of people with different requirements in a number of settings, for example, features for magazines, corporate portraits, conferences, events and shows. As a result of this my work has been published in regional and national papers, lifestyle and industrial magazines, internal company publications and websites.
I am still based in the heart of the UK, in the glorious Vale of Evesham which is on the Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire borders. Still enjoying the challenges photography brings me, and not knowing where or what I will be photographing next, means the job has the same amount of surprises as it did all those years ago when I started. If you would like to talk to me about your photographic requirements please contact me via my website, email [email protected] or on my mobile: 07967 366 793.
Thank you.
Stuart
